Citizens Police Academy to resume March 2

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press   After an almost three-year hiatus, the Copperas Cove Police Department will hold the 31st session of the Copperas Cove Citizens Police Academy, with the first class starting on Thursday, March 2 and the class culminating with a graduation ceremony on May 4.

PAR Guns owner arrested on theft warrant

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press   Michael Desmond, owner of PAR Guns in Copperas Cove, turned himself in to the Copperas Cove Police Department on Tuesday morning in response to a Jan. 30 arrest warrant that was issued against him for theft over $2,500 but less than $30,000.

By PAMELA GRANT Cove Leader-Press Parents and children had a “tea-rific” time at the Rabbit Fest Royalty’s Daddy/Mommy and Me Sweetheart Tea. Two separate Sweetheart Tea times were held at Bearables on Saturday at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and cost $10 per person with a limit of 24 people per event.

Copperas Cove KFC to get remodel

Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise KBP Foods recently announced the remodel of its Copperas Cove restaurant as part of a multi-million dollar nationwide KFC brand revamp effort. The restaurant’s dining room is set to close on just after Monday, Feb.
