Copperas Cove High School was on high alert yesterday due to a graffiti message in which an unidentified individual threatened to “shoot up” Copperas Cove High School on March 20, 2017.

A report of graffiti located at 310 Casa Dr., the location of a vacant car wash was listed on the daily Copperas Cove Police Department report on Wednesday, March 15. The overall damage of the graffiti was listed as more than $700 but less than $2,500. The car wash has been closed for an undetermined length of time and there is a “for sale by owner” sign posted at the property.

Along with the message, “I’m going to shoot up Copperas Cove High School on 3/20/17”, numerous messages were spray painted in black and red lettering on the concrete walls of the car wash bays, on a storage shed in the car wash’s parking lot, some images on a door facing Casa Drive, as well as a lengthy message painted on a concrete wall on the west side of the parking lot.
