Special to the Leader-Press    The Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) announced on Friday that it has awarded a $5,000 Business Improvement Grant to Kiln + Cone, located at 105 E. Avenue E in downtown Copperas Cove.

No, not with that stuff in a bottle, but Sherry and I observed an Emerald Isle custom supposed to guarantee a good year.     Being a quarter-Irish, I knew that at 12:01 a.m. Jan 1st, the old country folks throw open their front doors to let the departing year out and the new one come on in.
