By TJ MAXWELL. Momentum has been building for the Copperas Cove Lady Bulldawgs softball team and culminated in two huge wins to finish off the regular season, including Friday’s 18-2 run-rule victory over the Harker Heights Lady Knights.

By TJ MAXWELL. Copperas Cove head soccer coach Hagen Streckel is trading in his whistle and clipboard for some tongs and a motor home. Hagen and his wife, Mary, also a teacher at the high school, plan to travel the U.S., visit family and compete in barbecue competitions.

Cove softball/baseball at opposite ends of blowouts

By TJ MAXWELL   It was opposite night, so to speak, for the Copperas Cove baseball and softball teams on Friday. Both were involved in mercy-rule games at home, but only one came out on top.

Letzer named Offensive MVP

By TJ MAXWELL   For the second consecutive year, Copperas Cove’s Shelbie Letzer garnered top player honors in the all-district voting. The senior was named Midfielder of the Year on the 2014 8-5A All-District Team.

By TJ MAXWELL   Copperas Cove’s Tyler Morrison showed the grit of a champion on day two of the District 8-5A Golf Tournament to rally back in extreme wind to qualify for regionals in Lubbock on April 16-17 and lead her team to a third place finish.
