Cove softball/baseball at opposite ends of blowouts

    It was opposite night, so to speak, for the Copperas Cove baseball and softball teams on Friday. Both were involved in mercy-rule games at home, but only one came out on top. The Lady Dawgs scored 10 runs in the first two innings on their way to a 13-1 blowout of the Ellison Lady Eagles on Friday. They squeaked by Ellison 14-10 in the first round of action before pounding the Eagles in their latest outing.
