Soccer falls to Heights

By DAVID MORRIS   Opening the District 8-5A portion of the soccer schedule, Copperas Cove played Harker Heights with the Knights claiming a 4-0 victory over the Dawgs in Cove while the Lady Dawgs played to a 1-0 double overtime loss to the Lady Knights.

Lady Dawgs finish second in Belton powerlifting meet

By TONY ADAMS   The Copperas Cove Powerlifting teams traveled down US 190 Saturday morning to Lake Belton Middle School to participate in the Belton Tiger Invitational. The Lady Dawgs posted a second place finish in the meet with 37 points, 15 behind meet champion Belton.

Big second half leads Dawgs to win over Belton, 66-41

By JAMES DAVID   Friday’s school cancellations didn’t stop the heated playoff race for Cove, so by game time, the roads were cleared enough to play ball. Cove had a lot to play for Friday.

Aquadawgs finish 5th, girls 7th in District 12-5A

By TONY ADAMS   BELTON – The Copperas Cove Aquadawgs swimming teams participated in the 2014 District 12-5A meet, held at Roy and Jean Potts Swim Center in Belton on Saturday. Belton won the girls division with a total of 216 points.
