Lady Dawgs fall to Ellison, win streak ends at 5

Knocking down five of nine three-pointers in the fourth quarter, the Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs fought until the very end, rallying from a six-point deficit to tie the game before falling in the final second of play 72-70 to the District 8-5A leading Lady Eagles of Ellison High School. “The girls didn’t quit tonight,” Lady Dawgs coach Eldridge McAdams said. “There are one or two little things that should have gone our way that didn’t go. That’s part of the game, we have to regroup, put this one behind us and come out ready to play on Friday.”
