Cove LB commits to Golden Gophers

By TJ MAXWELL   Copperas Cove had its third senior football player commit to a division I collegeover the summer.  Jaylen Waters, the 6-foot, 2-inch, 229-pound inside linebacker, announced the commitment to play football for the Golden Gophers of Minnesota through a Twitter message.

By TJ MAXWELL   After jumping out to a strong start, winning four of their first five matches, the Copperas Cove tennis team ran into some tough competition during a busy week of action. The team lost five of eight matches to fall to 7-6 on the season.

By TJ MAXWELL   Copperas Cove baseball standouts Tim Bechtold and MichaelHays were again recognized for their skills on the baseball  diamond. The duo was recently selected to the North Texas Region of the National Team Identification  Series (NTIS) for USA Baseball.

By TJ MAXWELL   The Dawg Tennis team improved to 4-1 after splitting matches with Killeen and Pflugerville on Friday.The Dawgs began the  day with a lopsided 16-3 win over the Killeen Kangaroos.
