BY TJ MAXWELL   The Bulldawgs (4-2, 2-0) hope to honor their seniors with a win on Friday when they host the Ellison Eagles (2-4, 0-2) on senior night. The Eagles ended a 31-game losing streak by defeating Bryan Rudder 33-13 in the second game of the season.

Bulldawgs’ fall golf underway

By TJ MAXWELL   The Copperas Cove Dawgs and Lady Dawgs golf squads got their season underway on the links of the Teravista Golf Club in Round Rock this week. The Cove varsity boys shot a combined round of 372 to finish 11th in the tournament. Travis Dewald led the squad with a low round of 85.

Exchange Club holds charity golf tourney

By TJ MAXWELL   The Morning Exchange Club of Copperas Cove held their 16th annual golf tournament on Saturday at the Hills of Cove Municipal Golf Course in Copperas Cove. “I think it was a very successful tournament,” said Exchange Club President Mark Peterson.
Copperas Cove senor defensive end Tyrell Thompson (88) prevents Belton quarterback Shane Stafford from recovering a bad snap in the fourth quarter as senior linebacker Justin Joe (7) charges in for the scoop and score. The Bulldawg defense scored 14 points in their 42-21 win over Belton on Friday. Jaylen Waters (35), shown in background, had a scoop and score in the second period. Thompson forced both turnovers.
