Exchange Club holds charity golf tourney

By TJ MAXWELL   The Morning Exchange Club of Copperas Cove held their 16th annual golf tournament on Saturday at the Hills of Cove Municipal Golf Course in Copperas Cove. “I think it was a very successful tournament,” said Exchange Club President Mark Peterson.

‘Dawg Tennis closing in on playoff berth

Lady Dawgs sweep Heights despite off night

By TJ MAXWELL   The No. 25-ranked Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs volleyball squad didn’t show their usual crisp focus on Tuesday night when they traveled across town to take on the Harker Heights Lady Knights in a District 12- 6A showdown.

By TJ MAXWELL   The Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs rebounded from their five-set loss to Midway on Tuesday with 3-0 sweep of Killeen on Friday. Cove senior Lexi Perez and the rest of the Cove defense came out on fire, allowing only three Killeen points in the first set on the way to 25-3 win.

Dawg Tennis drops two

By JOE LOMBARDI   District 12-6A play continued last week for the Bulldawg netters with road tournaments at Harker Heights and Midway. Once the Friday dust settled in Hewitt, Cove found themselves on the short end of a 19-0 loss to the powerful Panthers.
