‘Dawgs start 12-6A with cross-town rivalry

By TJ MAXWELL   The newly formed Copperas Cove offense will have a lot to contend with in a very active defense when the Killeen Kangaroos come to town tonight for homecoming.

Epic Battle

By TJ MAXWELL   On paper, the showdown between No. 25 Copperas Cove and No. 23 Waco Midway looked to be an epic battle between the two top programs in 12-6A. What ensued on Tuesday night proved even better than advertised.

Dawg Tennis goes 18-1 vs Killeen to open 12-6A

By TJ MAXWELL Dawg Tennis gets District 12- 6A action underway with an 18-1 win over the Killeen Kangaroos to improve to 19-10 on the year and 1-0 in district play. The Bulldawgs swept both the singles and doubles matches, suffering their only loss of the afternoon in the mixed doubles match.

Second season begins

By TONY ADAMS District 12-6A play kicks off on Thursday night with a big match-up to launch the initial district week for six of the seven district teams. The district teams went a combined 17-11, with Midway a perfect 4-0, Harker Heights 3-1 and the rest of the district at 2-2.

Lee wins two, Cove drops two

Dawgs finish non-district slate at Schertz-Clemens

By TJ MAXWELL   The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs have one game remaining before District 12-6A play begins Friday, Sept. 26 at Bulldawgs Stadium for homecoming. First the Bulldawgs will have to take on a very physical, quick, run-heavy offense with a running quarterback.

Dawg Tennis improves to 18-10 on the year
