By TONY ADAMS District 12-6A play kicks off on Thursday night with a big match-up to launch the initial district week for six of the seven district teams. The district teams went a combined 17-11, with Midway a perfect 4-0, Harker Heights 3-1 and the rest of the district at 2-2.

By JOE LOMBARDI   The S.C. Lee Cougars seventh grade B team won tonight 25-7 over Midway Red, with Devonte Seda scoring twice, one of which was a 65-yard run. Donovan Blow also had a 4-yard pass for a touchdown to Ray Barrows.

By TJ MAXWELL   The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs have one game remaining before District 12-6A play begins Friday, Sept. 26 at Bulldawgs Stadium for homecoming. First the Bulldawgs will have to take on a very physical, quick, run-heavy offense with a running quarterback.

By JOE LOMBARDI   The Copperas Cove Bulldawg netters got inplenty of work last week, wrapping it up Saturday  with rematches against College Station High and Brownwood at the Dawg Tennis Center. College Station’s powerhouse team posted a 15-4 win over Copperas Cove.

By TJ MAXWELL   The Copperas Cove Dawgs tennis team eked out a 10-9 win over Lampasas on Tuesday to improve to 16-9 on the season. The Cove boys nearly pulled off their second sweep of Lampasas on the season to lead the Bulldawgs to victory.
