Ah yes, vacation!

Last week was vacation time.  Time to take off and relax.  Time to refresh and enjoy different scenery.   Carol and I were heading to Salida, Colorado.  Carol had planned over a year for this trip.  She bought a new travel trailer and had all the hiking trips planned.

Copperas Cove High volleyball tryouts to begin Aug 1

All incoming 9th-12th graders will have volleyball tryouts beginning August 1 at 8am in the morning. All students planning on trying out must have a current physical from their doctor turned into the trainer and must complete the UIL paperwork online at www.rankonesport.com.

Copperas Juniors Club volleyball tryouts this Saturday

Cove Juniors Club volleyball tryouts are here! Come tryout July 16 at Copperas Cove Junior High from 1-3 p.m. Registration starts at 11:30 a.m. The tryout fee is $50 which, if selected to a team, will be credited toward club fees. Students entering grades 5-12 are eligible

Cove native to compete on Schreiner Shooting team

Special to the Leader-Press   Kerrville - Jonathan Goedrich of Cove has signed a letter of intent to attend Schreiner University in Kerrville and compete with the school’s award-winning Shooting Sports Society. The son of Kathi and Randy Goedrich, he intends to major in Engineering.

Parks and Recreation soccer opens registration

The Copperas Cove Parks and Recreation Department has opened registration for the Fall youth soccer season.  The cost of the soccer season is $60 for residents and $70 for non-residents and includes a dry-fit jersey, eight games, an end of season tournament and five soccer clinic sessions.

Quarterback club creates new website

A new website for the Quarterback Club has been created and is found at bulldawgqbc.com The annual Soap and Towel Scrimmage is scheduled for August 19 at Bulldawg Stadium. Bulldawg buses are planned for the Sept. 1 game to Bryan as the Dawgs play A&M Consolidated and the Sept.
