By TJ MAXWELL   Seven Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs basketball players were recently selected to the 12-6A All-District list. Sophomore Chyanne Chapman was voted Newcomer of the Year while seniors Mikayla Blount and Angle Mullen made the First Team.

10U, 8U city champions crowned

By TJ MAXWELL   The Copperas Cove Parks and Recreation youth basketball season concluded on Thursday and champions were crowned in boys and girls 10-and-under and 8-and-under age divisions.

Bulldawg Relays host 23 schools

By TJ MAXWELL   Hundreds of athletes from 23 schools around Texas converged on Bulldawg Stadium for the annual Bulldawg Relays track and field meet on Saturday to open the 2015 campaign. The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs finished fourth in their own relays at Bulldawg Stadium with 71.5 team points.

Time runs out on Lady Dawgs’ playoff rally

The Clutch completed their perfect season with a 35-5 win over the Bulls in the 12-andunder boys’ five-team division.  The Clutch (9-0) defeated the Thunder (1-8) 42-2 in the semifinals before downing the Bulls 35-5 in the championship game Wednesday night at Copperas Cove Junior High.
