Cove hoopsters honored at annual banquet

By TJ MAXWELL Cove Leader-Press The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs baseball team rolled into District 12-6A play on a win-streak. The Dawgs won five of their last six non-district contests and opened up district play with a 4-0 shutout over the Killeen Kangaroos Tuesday afternoon in Cove.

Cove rallies over St. Dominic Savio 5-4

By TJ MAXWELL Cove Leader-Press The Bulldawgs rallied from a 4-2 deficit to beat St. Dominic Savio 5-4 at home on Wednesday. The lead changed four times before Cove scored on a walk-off passed ball to secure the win.

A long grueling wait had the Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs chomping at the bit in anticipation of the District 12-6A opener. After eight days and multiple weather cancellations, the Lady Dawgs finally hosted the Killeen Lady Roos on Wednesday.
