CCISD approves new PIO, Business Services Director

By LYNETTE SOWELL   The Copperas Cove Independent School District board of trustees gave its stamp of approval to hire a new public information officer, along with a new executive director of business services. Glenn Graham takes the helm of CCISD’s finances beginning Monday.

By DAVID MORRIS   The Copperas Cove Senior Center is where many go to play games, dance and find companionship. For two seniors, they found more than they expected. Christina Spalding, 71, was introduced to Leroy Lemmon,79, nearly two years ago at the center by Cindy Holmes.

None injured in four-vehicle accident

By DAVID MORRIS   The Copperas Cove Police Department responded to a four-vehicle collision at the intersection of U.S. Hwy 190 and Robertson Ave. Tuesday morning with a half dozen police vehicles, as the Fire Department responded with a pair of ambulances and support vehicles.

By LYNETTE SOWELL   Approximately 60,000 honeybees have been removed from a vacant home on South 3rd Street after a neigh-bor, Angela Henry, com-plained to the city’s Code Enforcement about being stung numerous times while mowing her lawn’s side yard this spring and summer.
