By DAVID MORRIS   Celebrating the traditions of Copperas Cove, thousands lined the streets of Ave D then flocked to the City Park to flood the midway, specialty shows and craft booths Saturday in record numbers as the 34th annual Rabbit Fest drew an estimated 40,000 people.

By DAVID MORRIS   Texas employers expanded their payrolls by 64,100 jobs in April for a total of 348,000 seasonally adjusted nonfarm jobs added over the year. Texas’ unemployment rate fell to 5.2 percent in April, down from 5.5 percent in March and down from 6.4 percent a year ago.
