By DAVID MORRIS   The Copperas Cove Animal Control officers have seen a 300 percent increase in black colored animals being adopted over the last week thanks to their recent push for adoptions while waving the adoption fees. Dogs adopt out at $20 per animal with cats being claimed at $15.

BY KERRI CHRISTENSEN. Coryell County honored its employees by holding a celebration luncheon at the Coryell County Activities Complex Thursday with a catfish menu, door prize drawing, and years of service certificates.

Cache cleansed

By DAVID MORRIS. It took Juan Lopez and his team of helpers 195 man hours to remove the debris and clutter collected over the past 10 years as he worked to regain possession of his property at 601 Robertson Ave. Friday, filling more than 700 bags of garbage and removing them from the home.
