Committee formed to circulate liquor petition for future ballot item.

A meeting was held at Dave’s Sports Bar and Grill to discuss the application to file a petition for the option to add liquor sales in Copperas Cove Tuesday. The application to file the petition’s deadline is Saturday, with the city having 20 days to approve or deny the application to create and allow the circulation of the petition. As of press time per the City Secretary no application has been turned in. Joyce Hauk, the one in charge of turning in the application, said “The application has to be worded just right. We are working on the precise wording that will go on the petition. It will be turned in on May 9th before the May 10th deadline.”
