Registration ongoing for Chamber of Commerce’s Gallop or Trot 5K

Noon Exchange Club honors Exchangite of the Quarter at meeting

Special to Leader-Press   The Noon Exchange Club of Copperas Cove met on Aug. 12 at Lil’ Tex Restaurant. Club President Inez Faison called the meeting to order. Club Member Dr. Parker Bogue led the invocation, and Past President Dennis Ayres asked everyone to join in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Special to Leader-Press   From Aug. 5-7, Stuff the Bus volunteers collected over $25,000 worth of school supplies that will be distributed to Copperas Cove students.   On August 8, the bus was unloaded at the Crossroads High School Cafeteria.

Birthday bash to benefit child abuse prevention awareness

Special to Leader-Press   Today, 185 children in Texas will be abused. More than one-fourth of those are not old enough to attend kindergarten and are not able to tell clearly communicate the abuse they are experiencing.
