by Darren Blair Cove Leader-Press    Just as I watched shows like “Jem”, “Transformers” and “The Equalizer” back when they were still doing their first-run broadcasts back in the 1980s, I played “Warcraft” back when it was nothing more ambitious than a top-down RTS (real-time strategy) video game.

By DAVID J. HARDIN Cove Leader-Press   Tuesday night’s meeting of the Copperas Cove Independent School Board of Trustees had a smaller agenda than normal but was a chance to recognize students and several teachers who retiring from CCISD.

50th Wedding Anniversary

Robert & So Cha Pryor of Copperas Cove celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 23 at their home with their children and grandchildren. The couple was married on May 23, 1966 at his wife’s home in Pusan, Korea.

Optimist Club Scholarship

James Markert is the winner of the Optimist Club’s South District Scholarship Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. In Kerrville on May 7, James received a $2,500 scholarship. He is eligible to compete in the Optimist Club International Competition.
