Noon Exchange recognizes youth and educator at meeting

Special to Leader-Press   The Noon Exchange Club of Copperas Cove met at Lil Tex Family Restaurant on May 13. President Dennis Ayres opened the meeting, Past President Bill Minton offered the invocation and Club Member Stephanie Malley led the Pledge of Allegiance.

50th Wedding Anniversary

Robert & So Cha Pryor of Copperas Cove celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 23 at their home with their children and grandchildren. The couple was married on May 23, 1966 at his wife’s home in Pusan, Korea.

Optimist Club Scholarship

James Markert is the winner of the Optimist Club’s South District Scholarship Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. In Kerrville on May 7, James received a $2,500 scholarship. He is eligible to compete in the Optimist Club International Competition.
