Local flower and gift shop keeps up homecoming tradition

Local 40 and 8 chapter donates supplies to two CCISD campuses

By LYNETTE SOWELL   On Friday morning, a pickup truck loaded with school supplies pulled up in front of the Fairview- Jewell Elementary School main entrance, and members of Copperas Cove’s 40/8 Locale 266 began unloading boxes and carrying them into the building.

Bicyclists ride for annual Cove House Classic Bike Tour

Nearly 150 cyclists took off on the annual Cove House Classic Bike Tour on Saturday morning, starting out  at First Baptist Church and heading west on Avenue B, also known as Topsey Road. The event is an annual fundraiser for Cove House Emergency Homeless Shelter.
