Stuff the Bus raises $20,000 in school supplies

By WENDY SLEDD All the seats were filled, then the racks over the seats were filled and then the items began filling up the aisle of the Copperas Cove ISD activity bus parked in front of Wal- Mart over the long weekend. In total, more than $20,000 in supplies was collected CCISD’s students inneed.

Clear Creek Baptist celebrates 143rd birthday

By PAMELA GRANT The Clear Creek Baptist Church celebrated its 143rd birthday on Sunday with a homecoming  service at 11 a.m. and a celebratory meal at noon. Clear Creek Baptist was organized  in 1872 by six charter families, and existed even before Copperas  Cove, which was founded in 1879.
