Soldiers teach taxes to Cove high students

Cove teacher explores space

Special to Leader-Press One CCISD teacher is not only reaching for the moon to educate her students, but she is certain to land among the stars. S. C. Lee Junior High School teacher Joanne Dever attended the Space Exploration Educators Conference at the Johnson Space Center, NASA in Houston.

Annual Fishin’ in the Park set for Saturday

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press Anglers of all ages are invited to attend Saturday’s annual Fishing in the Park from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Duck Pond at Copperas Cove City Park. The pond will be freshly stocked by Texas Parks & Wildlife with plenty of fish ready for catching at the free event.

City council hears from police chief on aircraft in city

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press On Tuesday evening, the Copperas Cove city council heard from Chief of Police Eddie Wilson about the possible regulation of manned and unmanned aircraft in the city limits.
