By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press On Wednesday, the Morning Exchange Club named their recipient of the Book of Golden Deeds Award for 2015, Nicole Vess. The award is given annually to an Exchange Club member to recognize them for volunteer efforts in the local community.

City sales tax revenues inch up for April

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press The state comptroller’s office has released its sales tax revenue report for the month of April, and the city of of Copperas Cove will be seeing a slightly higher check compared to April 2014. Copperas Cove will receive a sales tax rebate for of $321,979.

City-wide garage sale held downtown

People gathered in downtown Copperas Cove in search of bargain buys and in hopes of finding hidden treasures at the city-wide garage sale. The garage sale took place from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Local Veterans open mobile restaurant

There’s nothing like driving up to a clean, well-equipped food trailer and ordering lunch or dinner. There are two of these new businesses giving the Cove a try, although one is having a bit of trouble.

Education Foundation Gala to be held Saturday
