Copperas Cove elementary students are blasting off their creations shooting for the moon and landing among the stars.

Police looking for suspect in 7-Eleven robbery

At 7:07 a.m. Thursday morning the Copperas Cove Police Department responded to 2012 W Ave B (7-Eleven Convenience Store) in reference to an Aggravated Robbery incident. Upon arrival, Officers learned the suspect entered the store, approached the attendant, brandished a handgun, and demanded money.

Sales tax revenue down .4%

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press The state comptroller’s office has released its sales tax revenue report on Wednesday, and the city of of Copperas Cove share will be slightly lower this month compared to last Marhc. The city’s sales tax rebate for March is $305,339.38 , which is down $1,242.
