Muddy Rabbit Fest still draws crowds

By LYNETTE SOWELL
Cove Leader-Press Rabbit Fest 2015 is now part of the history books, and like most years the weather had a part to play, this year in the form of mud and humidity. That didn’t deter festival goers from keeping a steady line of traffic along Avenue B to City Park, where the weekend kicked off officially on Thursday at 4 p.m. The Rabbit Fest royalty appeared at 6:30, followed by the Copperas Cove High School cheerleaders, the CCHS step squad and the Copperettes to get the crowds cheering. Thursday night’s musical entertainment was provided by Band Soup.
