By LYNETTE SOWELL   With a margin of 22 votes, David Morris edged out Azeita Taylor in the runoff election for Copperas Cove city council place 1 on Tuesday, with 278 votes, or 52 percent, to Taylor’s 256 votes, or 48 percent.

Thousands turn out to lay wreaths for veterans

By CHUCK TAYLOR Thousands arrived at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery south of Killeen on Saturday morning to remember and lay wreaths at the graves of their loved ones. Saturday was a cold, rainy and windy day with a temperature hovering around 36 degrees and the air feeling like 29.
