The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8577 hosted its annual community holiday dinner on Saturday. Commander Willie Fields said the post has been having the dinner annual at least the past 20 years.

Local constable holding civilian response training

By LYNETTE SOWELL   Coryell County constable Guy Beveridge is offering a free workshop which teaches principles that could help save someone’s life in an active shooter situation.   The workshop is called CRASE, which stands for civilian response to active shooter events.

Project Graduation wrapping gifts at Wal-Mart

By LYNETTE SOWELL The volunteers for Project Graduation 2016 are hoping Christmas shoppers will let them do the wrapping this year for donations.   Project Graduation will have a space outside Wal-Mart and will be wrapping gifts beginning Saturday through Christmas Eve.

Philly Pretzel Factory to open first Texas location
