Oakalla VFD holding annual fajita dinner, auction tomorrow

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press  The Oakalla Volunteer Fire Department is holding its annual fajita dinner and auction tomorrow from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the live auction starting at 7 p.m. For $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under, diners can have an all-you-can-eat fajita meal.

Miniseries filmed in Cove premieres Tuesday night

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press  “The Long Road Home,” an eight-hour miniseries filmed by NatGeo, will premiere on Tuesday, November 7 on the NatGeo channel.  This spring, a production team was in the Fort Hood area shooting the miniseries, with some of those locations being in Copperas Cove.

Trinity Lutheran German Sausage Fest set for Saturday

Burkes Outlet holds ribbon cutting, grand opening
