City Council to meet tonight

By DAVID MORRIS   The Copperas Cove City Council will convene tonight for a 5 p.m. workshop for discussion and direction on constructing a frisbee disc golf course at Ogletree Gap Park by Parks and Recreation Directory Joseph Pace, followed by their regular scheduled meeting in council chambers.

CTC offers Cajun Creole menu for Patio Café today

By DAVID MORRIS   The Central Texas College (CTC) Culinary Arts department will offer a Cajun Creole menu tonight for the Patio Café Cuisine Nights Dining Experience. The meal will start with an appetizer of hot crab dip or a chicken and Andouille gumbo.

By PAMELA GRANT   On Saturday, Halstead Elementary’s fifth grade teachers along with other faculty and staff members hosted the year’s second STAAR camp. The STAAR camps are intended to better prepare students for their upcoming STAAR tests (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness).

The Copperas Cove Police Department is currently accepting applications for the 2014 Explorer Program Academy. The program will run from July 7th through July 25. The Department is excited to offer this opportunity specifically designed for individuals interested in a career in law enforcement.
