City Council to meet tonight

By DAVID MORRIS   The Copperas Cove City Council will convene tonight for a 5 p.m. workshop for discussion and direction on constructing a frisbee disc golf course at Ogletree Gap Park by Parks and Recreation Directory Joseph Pace, followed by their regular scheduled meeting in council chambers.
Morning Exchange Club newly elected officers; Mark Peterson, President; Marty Smith, President-Elect; Nicole Vess, Vice President in Program and Mary Derrick as Past President. Directors for Americanism are Joyce Hauk, Youth Director is Tami Martin and Joe DeCroce is slated as the Director for Service.

By DAVID MORRIS   The Central Texas College (CTC) Culinary Arts department will offer a Cajun Creole menu tonight for the Patio Café Cuisine Nights Dining Experience. The meal will start with an appetizer of hot crab dip or a chicken and Andouille gumbo.

By PAMELA GRANT   On Saturday, Halstead Elementary’s fifth grade teachers along with other faculty and staff members hosted the year’s second STAAR camp. The STAAR camps are intended to better prepare students for their upcoming STAAR tests (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness).
