Club selects Youth of the Year

By DAVID MORRIS   Copperas Cove seniors Allen Dees and Kaitlynn Blalock were tapped as the Youth of theYear by the Morning Exchange club Wednesday while club member Mark Peterson was named the club’s All-American Volunteer.

CTC opens summer registration online Monday

Central Texas College (CTC) will open online registration for summer semester classes on Monday. Returning students and new students who have completed the admissions process may then register using the WebAdvisor system on the CTC website.

Exchange donates to help with child abuse prevention

By DAVID MORRIS. The Copperas Cove Morning Exchange Club donated $1,500 to help thwart the efforts of child abuse, donating $500 each to the Rainbow Room, Coryell County Welfare Board and the Aware Central Texas during their Wednesday morning meeting.

Author holds book signing to offer hope

By LYNETTE SOWELL. Eva Piper, author of A Walk Through the Dark, spent Saturday afternoon at the Harker Heights Barnes & Noble to sign copies of her book. Piper is the wife of Don Piper, who in January 1989 was pronounced dead at the scene of an auto accident involving a semi.
