Spring Ho wraps up after week of festivities

By DAVID MORRIS   Celebrating the springs of the city, the community of Lampasas gathered along the shores of WM Brook Park for the 42nd annual celebration that featureda beauty pageant, fishing derby, talent  show, dance off, pet parade, hayloft party and county fair.

Private Investigator comes to Cove

Independence Day celebrations are marked by many spectacles. But few can garner the “oohs and aahs” of a good fireworks display. Summer is a time of year when the resonating booms and bright spills of color that dot the night sky are quite common.
Volunteers from the Austin Fly Fishers worked with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Inland Fisheries staff to plant aquatic vegetation into Cedar Park’s Brushy Creek Reservoir. The plants will provide fish habitat, stabilize sediment and improve water quality.
