Mayborn Theater open for weekday matinees

The Mayborn Science Theater will be open this week, including July 4, with a schedule of matinee shows. Today through Thursday, the matinee shows are at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. And on Friday, July 4, the matinee shows start at 2 p.m.

The annual Fourth of July fireworks show at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center (TFFC) will be Friday, July 4. TFFC will be open for regular paid visitation from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free admission for the fireworks show will start at 4 p.m.

Beginning July 1, boaters must drain all water from their boat and on-board receptacles before leaving or approaching a body of fresh water anywhere in Texas.
