Master Singers entertain in Sunday show

By LYNETTE SOWELL   Longtime Covite Penney Rivers completed her 20-year labor of love this summer, in time for her late husband, Jerry Rivers, to read it—bound and printed, with red correction marks and all—before he passed away in July.

By WENDY SLEDD   Two days, 12 pieces of music, 8 hours of rehearsal, 400 contenders and 176 available slots. That means more than half of the junior high students did not make the cut to perform this weekend.

By LYNETTE SOWELL   Those interested in learning how to start and maintain a compost pile will get to do just that tomorrow morning during a fall composting class sponsored by Keep Copperas Cove Beautiful. The class will meet at the Copperas Cove Library’s community room on Saturday from 10 a.m.
