Dawgs drop bi-district series to Panthers

By BEN PETET  Cove Leader-Press    The Midway Panthers baseball team defeated the Copperas Cove Dawgs two games to none in the bi-district round of the state playoffs.  The Dawgs traveled to Panther Field on Thursday night and were outscored 10-5 on Midway’s home turf.

Lady Pups win again

Special to the Leader-Press    The Copperas Cove Junior High Lady Pups came away victorious last Thursday evening.  First, 7th grade took the field and took control of the game immediately. Sandi Cook started the night off scoring first setting the Pups in motion.

Special to the Leader-Press The Lady Pups soccer teams were back in action Thursday evening at Bulldawg Stadium. They played against the SC Lee Lady Cougars.  7th grade took possession quickly, but SC Lee had great defense and by halftime, the score was tied 0-0.
