Sanders named 12 6A Offensive Player of the Year, Bulldawgs also named to 12-6A All-District teams

Travis Sanders with the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs baseball team has been named the 12-6A Offensive Player of the year, for District 12-6A All-District Teams.

“I would like to thank my coaches and teammates for putting me in the best position I can be in,” Sanders said. “It’s an honor to be selected to the all-star game as well as making the all-district team.“

MVP is Easton Culp, Harker Heights; Defensive Player of the Year is Tanner Wells, Harker Heights; Pitcher of the Year is Mason Ruiz, Bryan; and Newcomer of the Year is Mason Garcia, Bryan.

Other Dawgs named to the 12-6A All-District Baseball team include David Cimmino, Pitcher; . Third base, junior Blaine Butler; and John Louis Garcia Leon, Outfield, rounding out the Bulldawg players on the second team.

Sanders was also invited to play in the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game on Sunday, June 19, at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
