CCLP/TJ MAXWELL - The ATX Boys AAU basketball team, consisting of mostly Copperas Cove High School basketball players, finished first or second in 13 of 14 tournaments played this year despite only practicing just once a week. They won 11 of the 14 tournaments.

By TJ MAXWELL Cove Leader-Press   The ATX Amatuer Athletic Union (AAU) boys basketball team, consisting mostly of Copperas Cove high school basketball players and one football player, blew teams away on the court this summer, placing in 13 of 14 tournaments while winning 11 of the 14.

By TJ MAXWELL Cove Leader-Press   The Copperas Cove Dawg Tennis team improved their season record to 10-2 with a 12-7 win over the Lampasas Badgers at home on Tuesday.   The Dawgs took advantage of some solid doubles play to take a 5-2 lead into the singles portion of the tournament.

Fall athletic season in full swing this weekend
