Two families celebrate Christmas in new duplex at Cove House

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press  It’s been a long time coming, but Cove House Emergency Homeless Shelter is enlarging its footprint at its North Main Street and Halstead Avenue properties. On Dec. 15, the shelter cut the ribbon on a newly constructed duplex.

Five CCHS seniors graduate from CTC

Special to the Leader-Press  Friday night, five Copperas Cove High School students became college graduates.As part of CCHS’ Dual Credit program, five CCHS seniors earned either their Associate’s Degree or a certification from Central Texas College at the school’s fall graduation on Dec. 8th.

Bell ringers sought for Salvation Army in Copperas Cove

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press  A longstanding tradition during the Christmas season in Copperas Cove needs a few helpers this year. Volunteers are needed to ring the bell in two-hour shifts outside Walmart on behalf of the Salvation Army. Bell ringing hours are 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily.
