School board to review proposed budget, tax rate, dress code changes

New driver course to combat distracted driving

Special to Leader-Press   AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announced on August 3 a new one-hour driving course to educate drivers on the dangers of distracted driving. The Impact Texas Young Drivers (ITYD) course will be required for certain drivers beginning Sept. 1, 2017.
