Lady Dawgs 3-2 at Marble Falls invitational; Dawgs move to 2-0

By TJ MAXWELL   MARBLE FALLS – The No. 23 Lady Dawgs basketball team began the Marble Falls tournament with two huge wins to improve their season record to 8-1 before losing two of their next three to finish the tournament 3-2 and push their record to 9-3 on the year.

By TJ MAXWELL   The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs displayed a balanced offensive attack and a stifling defense in their 63-47 win over Austin Akins that gave head coach Bill White Jr. his 100th win and a 1-0 record to begin their 2015-16 campaign.

Cove Golf continues hot start in Hutto

By TJ MAXWELL   HUTTO – The Copperas Cove boys’ and girls’ golf teams continued their hot streaks with second- and sixth-place finishes, respectively at the Hutto Invitational at the Star Ranch Golf Course.

Roller coaster fall sports season concludes

This season has been a tumultuous one for all the sports teams I follow closely.  The Bulldawgs’ football team and Lady Dawgs’ volleyball each made a return trip to the playoffs but had to overcome some obstacles to do so.
