Myrtle Blackstock

Myrtle Blackstock, 82, of Copperas Cove, departed this life peacefully the morning of Jan. 29. She was a longtime resident of Gatesville where she practiced nursing. Her body will be cremated. Myrtle was preceded in death by her four loving sons, Calvin, Edwin, Donald and Nathan Hempel.

Gene Austin Pritchard

Gene Pritchard was born on June 29, 1923, in  Los Angeles, California to Austin Henry and Vestula (Pearcy) Pritchard. He spent his early years in California, and then moved with his family back to his parents’ home state of Texas.

Alphonso (Al) Taylor, son of Willard Taylor and Evon Viney was born in Stringtown, Oklahoma on  April 11, 1936. He departed this life on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 after a beautiful life of service to God, Family and Humanity.

Daniel Miller Padilla, 54, of Rockdale passed away Monday afternoon, January 19, 2015, at his home near Rockdale. He and his  wife Andrea have lived in Rockdale the past five years and had lived 26 years previously in Copperas Cove. He attended church at First Baptist Church in Milano.

Dora Wren, 73, of Copperas Cove passed away January 13, 2015 from natural causes. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel, C Dora was born in Iowa and enjoyed traveling around the world as an Army wife.

Carla Sue Rippy Hendricks, 47, of Copperas Cove passed away unexpectedly on Decmeber 25, 2014. Memorial Services will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Carla was born on July 12, 1967 in Killeen to the late Curtis and Mildred Butler Rippy.

Funeral services with full military honors for Raymond Bruce Stewart, 84, of Copperas Cove will be 10 am Monday, January 2015 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tim Crosby of Trinity Baptist Church of Gatesville will officiate. Burial will follow in the Copperas Cove City Cemetery.
