The HOP rolls out new microtransit vehicles in Copperas Cove

By LYNETTE SOWELL  Cove Leader-Press    The HOP buses will no longer be making timed stops at locations around Copperas Cove.  Instead, after much planning and a pilot program on Fort Cavazos, the Hill Country Transit District held a ribbon cutting on Friday to launch its new microtransit system.

Fire Danger Outlook for early September

Coryell County commissioners, judge propose tax rate

By LYNETTE SOWELL  Cove Leader-Press    The Coryell County Commissioners and Coryell County took a record vote on Aug. 13 to propose a tax rate and budget for fiscal year 2024-2025.  The record vote on the property tax rate was for a rate of $0.473700 per $100 valuation.
