September brings flurry of community activities

Fire Danger Outlook for early September

Coryell County commissioners, judge propose tax rate

By LYNETTE SOWELL  Cove Leader-Press    The Coryell County Commissioners and Coryell County took a record vote on Aug. 13 to propose a tax rate and budget for fiscal year 2024-2025.  The record vote on the property tax rate was for a rate of $0.473700 per $100 valuation.

Negrete Firefighter Foundation hosts 4th annual fundraiser

Cove House Takes Reins of Gallop or Trot 5K

By BRITTANY FHOLER Cove Leader-Press The Cove House Emergency Homeless Shelter took over the reins in hosting this year’s annual Gallop or Trot 5K at Copperas Cove City Park. The race is part of the Centex Race Series and has previously been hosted by the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce.
