KCCB, volunteers sow seeds for Make A Difference Day

By PAMELA GRANT Cove Leader-Press More than 100 volunteers braved the colder weather Saturday morning to plant about 20 seed balls each which will hopefully bloom into beautiful wildflowers in the spring. The seeds were planted as part of Wildflower Planting Day and Make a Difference Day.

Copperas Cove Veterans’ Day parade latest event casualty of COVID-19

By LYNETTE SOWELL  Cove Leader-Press    VFW Post 8577 has held an annual Veterans Day parade in Copperas Cove for more than 40 years, but this year’s event has been canceled by the post, as the request to hold the event was denied by Copperas Cove’s mayor, Bradi Diaz.

More than 10,000 ballots in Coryell County during first 7 days of early voting

By LYNETTE SOWELL  Cove Leader-Press    Coryell County voters continue to show a strong turnout to the polls for early voting, prior to the Nov. 3 election.  A total of 10,444 have headed to either the Copperas Cove Civic Center or the Gatesville Civic Center to vote as of Wednesday.
