Oakalla VFD reschedules annual fajita dinner, auction for Dec. 12

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press    The Oakalla Volunteer Fire Department is holding its annual fajita dinner and auction on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the auction starting at 7 p.m. For $15 for adults and $5 for children, diners can have an all-you-can-eat fajita meal.

Month of November saw active cases of COVID-19 increase in Coryell County

By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press    From Oct. 30 to Nov. 30, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Coryell County rose by 482, from 827 to 1,309. Active cases rose from 131 to 390. Those numbers are as per the COVID-19 tracker which is updated by Coryell County.
