By PAMELA GRANTCove Leader-Press   CJ Sowell, known to many as “Cove Santa”, continues to be loved and remembered by many. Mae Stevens Early Learning Academy held a dedication in his honor at the school Monday at 2 p.m.

  By LYNETTE SOWELL Cove Leader-Press   The Copperas Cove Historical Society is kicking off this year’s Heritage Festival on Friday, Oct. 10, with Bluegrass & Barbecue at Ogletree Gap Park. The event begins at 6 p.m. with food service, and BBQ is $20 per plate, catered by Big Dog BBQ. From 7-9 p.m.
