CCLP/LYNETTE SOWELL - Kids from First Step Child Care listen to Sam Guinn, owner of Barking Oaks Pet Salon. Pebble, Guinn’s Standard Poodle, was there as well to provide an object lesson on pets for the children. First Presbyterian Church hosted the day care center at its Day for Dogs, Cats and Kids on Wednesday.
CCLP/LYNETTE SOWELL - David Kerney, pastor of Refuge Ministries Topsey Campus, stands under the canopy during the church’s monthly trade day on Saturday. The church, located about nine miles west of Copperas Cove near the intersection of F.M. 1113 and F.M. 580, holds a monthly trade day with free spots for vendors the fourth Saturday each month.

CCLP/FILE PHOTO - Pink Warrior Angels is holding its one-year celebration on Saturday along with a ribbon cutting as it joins the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce. Among the events it has held in the last year was the Pink Warrior Dash 5K, which drew approximately 100 runners and walkers to South Park.
