The newest Tractor Supply is opening its doors in Copperas Cove on Saturday, Feb. 14 and holding a ribbon cutting on Feb. 21 at 9 a.m.
Regular hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
The store is located at 917 W. Business 190, across the highway from Christian House of Prayer. The new store provides about 15 new jobs to the area, with at least half of those being full-time positions.
Priority Engineering LLC built the $3.8 million facility as an investment in the city of Copperas Cove.
The Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation also has an incentive agreement in place to help jumpstart development in the area. The CCEDC is providing a $70,250 Development Grant to Tractor Supply. These funds are supporting the construction of wastewater construction, which will be extended to serve adjacent properties.
In return, Tractor Supply has invested a minimum of nearly $4 million in its project and under the terms of the agreement, must have a minimum of three full-time positions over the next two years.
As of Dec. 27, 2025, Tractor Supply Company operated 2,395 Tractor Supply stores in 49 states and 207 Petsense by Tractor Supply stores in 23 states.
Bret Hart with Priority Engineering talked about the company’s initiative during a May 2025 meeting of the Copperas Cove city council.
“It's an anchor development,” Hart told the council. “We think it's going to attract other businesses to build adjacent to it…Tractor Supply has excellent core values. They really embed themselves in the community, and often attend local events, donate to animal shelters programs. The store is midsize. It’s not a big box, to keep that small town feel, and we just feel it'd be a great fit for your community.”
