Erica McPhail, owner-broker of Centex Priority Real Estate in Copperas Cove, is the first in the history of the Fort Hood Area Association of Realtors to be inducted into the Realtors Political Action Committee Hall of Fame.

The induction took place recently in Washington, D.C., where McPhail and fellow Realtors from across the country gathered for the National Association of Realtors. They participated in legislative meetings.

McPhail called it an honor and a humbling experience to be recognized in front of her peers.

“(It was) a reminder that advocacy is one of the most important things we do as REALTORS®. This recognition is not just about an individual achievement—it represents a long-term commitment to protecting property rights and supporting the industry that helps so many families achieve the American Dream,” McPhail said.

“Erica’s unwavering dedication, leadership, and commitment to protecting private property rights have made a lasting impact on our industry, our communities, and the clients we serve every day,” the Fort Hood Area Association of Realtors announced on its social media page. “Her passion for advocacy exemplifies what it means to be a REALTOR, and this incredible achievement is a testament to years of commitment to ensuring a strong future for property ownership and homeownership rights.”

McPhail has been working in real estate for more than 17 years, and she opened her own brokerage in 2020 – Centex Priority Real Estate.

Based in Copperas Cove, she works for buyers and sellers across the state.

“People often ask why I invest my time, energy, and resources into RPAC, the REALTORS® Political Action Committee, and TREPAC, the Texas REALTORS® Political Action Committee. The answer is simple: because private property rights, homeownership, and the future of our profession are worth protecting,” said McPhail. “As REALTORS®, we do much more than help people buy and sell homes. We help families achieve homeownership, assist military members during relocations, and guide clients through some of the biggest decisions of their lives. The laws and policies created at the local, state, and federal levels directly impact those clients, which is why advocacy matters.

“For me, investing in RPAC and TREPAC is not about politics—it is about protecting private property rights and ensuring REALTORS® have a voice in the decisions that affect homeowners, property owners, and our communities. These investments help support leaders who understand the importance of homeownership, housing opportunities, and a strong real estate market.

“Over the years, I have seen firsthand how REALTOR® advocacy has helped defeat harmful legislation, support property owners, and protect homeownership opportunities. That is why I continue to support RPAC and TREPAC. When REALTORS® come together with a unified voice, we can make a meaningful difference for our clients, our communities, and future generations of homeowners.

“That is why RPAC and TREPAC are important to me—not just as a real estate broker, but as a property owner, community member, and advocate for the future of homeownership in Texas and across our nation.”
